Morning

Checkerboard Mesa

Start the morning by the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway and stop at Checkerboard Mesa for some scenic views.

Canyon Overlook Trail

Hike the Canyon Overlook Trail for sweeping views of the valley. One mile out and back, takes an avergage of an hour to complete.

Zion Visitor Center

Drive to the Zion Visitor Center and take the free shuttle to Zion Lodge

Emerald Pools

This 1.2 mile hike leads to sparkling waterfalls and glistening pools. Continue on from lower Emerald pools to middle and upper if you have the time.

Craving adventure? Apply for a permit to hike Angels Landing, a difficult hike with lots of exposure leading to a dramatic overlook.

The Narrows

An optional all day activity, Take the shuttle to the Temple of Sinawava, and hike up the narrows. You will be in the river, with ankle to waist deep water.
